Nicolas Jackson’s Aston Villa form continued with a goal in the 1-1 draw against Fulham on 31 October 2026. Aston Villa’s official match report confirms that he has now scored five goals in his last five Premier League appearances. His opener was also his eighth goal of the season across all competitions.

Aston Villa’s own pre-match data also shows that Jackson has significantly outperformed his expected-goals figure this season. Only Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki had a larger positive gap at the time of Villa’s latest update.
Why Jackson looks different at Villa
Confidence is clearly part of the change, but the tactical environment matters too. Jackson is dangerous when he can attack space instead of receiving the ball with several defenders already set around him. Villa’s movement and transition threat have given him more opportunities to run toward goal.
In addition, his recent finishing has been cleaner. He is taking chances earlier and with less hesitation. That matters because Jackson’s physical tools have never been the main question. The bigger issue has often been whether he can convert enough of the situations his pace creates.
Can the run continue?
Five goals in five league games is a strong run, but it is still a small sample. Therefore, the next challenge is consistency. Villa need Jackson to remain active even when he does not score and to keep linking attacks when opponents defend deeper.
There is also a Senegal angle. Jackson’s form gives the national team another forward arriving with confidence, which can matter in international windows where preparation time is limited. If his finishing remains sharp, both Villa and Senegal gain a striker who can stretch defences, press aggressively and attack the space behind centre-backs.
Nicolas Jackson’s Aston Villa form: the Fulham update
Jackson scored before half-time against Fulham, but Villa could not turn his goal into three points. Instead, a Zion Suzuki own goal brought the visitors level. The updated scoring run is five goals in five league games; the four-in-four figure in Villa’s earlier preview described his form before this match.
Nicolas Jackson’s Aston Villa form shows a clear change in results. However, those figures do not prove that every part of his game has changed overnight. To judge the next phase, watch the chances he gets, his runs across defenders and his work when Villa lose the ball. Together, those details offer a better guide than a short scoring streak.
